We help MSMEs invest in smarter, cleaner and
more competitive ways of doing business.
To ensure the programme reaches the right
companies, participating businesses must
meet these requirements.

Qualifies as an MSME under the European Union definition:

  • Has fewer than 250 employees
  • Has annual turnover below €50 million OR total assets less than €43 million
Meets partner financial institution financing criteria

Is registered and operating in Ukraine

Has private ownership (more than 50%)

Is independent:

  • not more than 50% owned or controlled by another company or organisation that does notmeet the MSME criteria.
  • not a part of a group of companies under common control where the combined size of the group operates in a similar business sector and exceeds MSME eligibility limits.
Is not a subject to and shall not use the sub-loan for financing activities that are restricted under the Programme.
Complies with all applicable national environmental, social and health and safety legislation of Ukraine the EBRD’s Environmental and Social Policy
